When we host, your users connect via SSL to a physical server (black box) dedicated to you. For addded security and to conserve your bandwidth, connections are normally closed. Short term connections lasting a few seconds are opened only when required by log-in, save and exit. The database is further protected at rest with strong encryption.

Hosting Capabilities
We incorporated features necessary for global firms, with multiple currencies and business rules that differ between countries. Security is paramount in our design. With the increasing sophistication of small firms, an important goal has been to make this an affordable manager self-service tool that has too often been out of reach from a cost perspective.
Hosting Physical Security
The data center and all servers are protected by a key-card access system. This system monitors and logs all entries to the facility. All servers are located behind three security passages at all times. Moreover, the entire data center is monitored by an advanced computerized independent security system housed in an isolated center and is able to operate both virtually and indefinitely without power or Internet connectivity. This system records all motion in the data center.
This facility offers an advanced computerized security system, able to instantly detect a potential intrusion and notify security personnel, who monitor the building 24/7.
Hosting Virtual Security
The entire network is protected by a custom Linux-based firewall cluster for port blocking, firewalling, monitoring, and virus protection. Servers, workstations, and co-located servers are divided into separate, isolated network segments that must communicate through the firewall's native security to access each other, preventing an infected workstation, co-location server, or malicious shared hosting customer from gaining access to the regular servers and vice-versa.
The network is protected by advanced Linux-based intrusion detection systems, and access to all services is logged to a dedicated, isolated, Linux-based logging system.
Hosting Backup
Our host performs complete daily data backups to a multi-terabyte hard drive backup system. There are multiple sets of drives, which are rotated on a weekly basis and stored off-site in the event of a fire or natural disaster. Our host uses the award-winning Retrospect 7 software to provide backup/restore capabilities. This unique software provides a complete snapshot of both Windows 2003 and Linux servers without any interruption to service. It also allows our host to significantly enhance Disaster Recovery capabilities by reducing the time required to rebuild a server after a major hardware failure to as little as one hour, making them an industry leader in this area.
Hosting Uptime Guarantee
Our host is running an extremely fast 1000 MBps internal network, directly connected to a 3000 Mbps external fiber optic pipe, with redundant connectivity to three Tier 1 providers.
Systems have been implemented to monitor bandwidth usage and anticipate bandwidth saturation well before it occurs. Our host also maintains a policy of sustaining low bandwidth through a large fiber optic pipe, allowing for traffic spikes while preventing bandwidth saturation, and upgrading bandwidth well before the point of sustained saturation.
This technology effectively ensures that our clients receive superior throughput and availability and as little latency as possible, giving them a lightning fast connection accessible from anywhere in the world.
Our host uses a state-of-the-art product for advanced 24 hour a day monitoring. This unique system is able to instantly detect network failures, including all service and server outages, UPS, generator, and power management system problems, and has the ability to reach all hosting staff, 24/7 anywhere in the world using a combination of SMS paging and traditional modem-initiated telephone calling. While providing automatic notifications, alerts and statistics about each device connected to their network, including proprietary technology, the system also takes a series of programmed steps to automatically correct most problems before a technician is required to address them (this is referred to as "event handling").
By these methods, our host has achieved close to 100% reliability through Linux monitoring, event handling and notification systems, load-balancing and fault-tolerant LVS directors (routers) and server clusters, and, finally, by creating a completely isolated environment for each customer through intelligent networking.
